What is a voice modem?

Voice modem is just a regular dialup modem that supports both online surfing and voice answering functions. Since most dialup modems made after late 90s are voice modems, you are likely to have a voice modem already installed on your computer.

To record phone calls, please plug your telephone line from your wall phone jack to your voice modem jack marked Line, and then install EzPhone Recorder Pro on your computer. The program will now use this voice modem to record telephone calls for you.

If you are unsure whether your modem supports voice, you can simply download and install EzPhone Recorder Pro as this program will automatically check your modem capability and show you the results.

If you do not have a voice enabled modem, you can purchase a new one. On our FAQ page, you will find recommended voice modems. These are all inexpensive ones and yet produce pretty good audio quality.
